There are many activities to rebuild trust in a relationship and I will be sharing a few of them with us today.
How to build trust in a relationship again should be the goal of any couple who has suffered from the lack of it in their relationship.
Rebuilding trust when broken isn’t always an easy task to take on, especially if your partner has repeatedly broken the agreement.
However, it is always encouraged to find a way to get things working again.
For instance, if I say I don’t trust my spouse, chances are many people will think my spouse cheated on me.
Well, the lack of trust, does not stem only from acts of infidelity.
Besides, most of the cases related to the lack of trust in a relationship, are related to a high number of unfaithful folks in relationships who have cheated on their spouse at some point.

Last night I was having a conversation with a friend at our church and I said to her, “you know, I cheated once on my ex and it just wasn’t the right thing to do.” She replied, “was it worth it? Some say it is.”
Most people try to justify the wrong actions and neglect the fact that they had a choice not to take that step but they did, anyway.
Cheating on your spouse shouldn’t be condoned no matter the circumstance. It is better to leave and be free than to be the cheating partner.
All broken relationships can be traced back to broken agreements and the answer to that is to be trustworthy.
So in today’s article, I will be sharing some activities to rebuild trust in a relationship. If you are willing to give it a shot, then, I think you should put in your best.
1. Let Your Partner Go Through Your Phone

Once, while I was still in university I asked my friend, “ if you accidentally forgot your phone at your girl’s house, would your relationship still stand?” The dude was honest and he said my relationship would be over by the time I get there to take back my phone.
Many folks would kick against this because of how shady they are, but if you have nothing to hide, you’d be happy to let your partner go through your phone.
One of the trust-building exercises for couples after infidelity is to allow their partner to go through their phone as a sign that they have nothing to hide.
Most of you probably have two phones, one has all the numbers where you store your contacts and the other is a clean phone.
I dare you to let them go through all. Turn a new leaf and delete those same contacts that you do your shady deals with and be open and honest about everything
It pays to rebuild trust and sometimes words alone cannot do it. They would like to see proof and it would be nice to let them see for themselves.
2. Give Your Partner A Small Task To Perform
There are many things to do but one of the activities to rebuild trust in a relationship is to engage your partner in a small task. Let your mind not wander too far.
You have to give a person the chance to earn your trust back, right? If we all agree that the answer to that question is yes, then let’s start with a little task.
Not all relationships suffering from the lack of trust came as a result of infidelity. Some came from a place of failure to do the things they said they would do.
Once, my friend told me he didn’t trust his wife to keep his secrets because she always tells them to her friends.
Each time she would apologise and promise not to but the next time he decides to tell her, the next minute she is on the phone with a friend telling all of the things her husband told her in confidence.
In a case like that, he has said he doesn’t trust her to keep her mouth quiet, and that has made him not trust her in that aspect.
You know, some things should be just between you two and not the whole world.
If you are in this category, you could start by telling her something that you wouldn’t consider to be a big deal, and then tell her to keep it a secret.
If she does well, you know you could trust her on the bigger ones.
Sometimes, we are not sure if we can trust our partner on small or big things but we can never know if we don’t try.
Everyone should be given a chance before jumping to conclusions.
3. Write Gratitude Letters To Each Other

Are you looking for one of the best activities to rebuild trust in a relationship? Start with writing gratitude letters to each other.
I am recommending this as a part of fun trust activities to engage in. Gratitude is a weapon against every form of trust issue that must have plagued your relationship in the past.
Oftentimes, we hold on to the past that we are so unwilling to let go because of how hurtful it was, and what this does is remind us of the pain.
Once the pain is remembered, the problem attached to the pain engulfs our minds and then, we will find it hard to forgive and let it go.
Furthermore, for trust to find its way back to the relationship, forgiveness should be given a chance.
4. Take Turns Revealing A Secret To Each Other
How to regain broken trust in a relationship is to reveal a secret to your partner without them asking you for it.
Transparency is everything in a relationship and it has made the dynamics of many relationships better.
You will have to be willing to be vulnerable with your partner and they should be willing to reciprocate, also, you should only share information that you feel safe sharing.
You both could take turns and share a part of yourself that your partner never knew was there in the first place.
The result of this level of openness will bring happiness to them and you know what they say about having a happy spouse, right? A happy spouse will put in their best to ensure that you are also happy.
If there is one thing that has wrecked some relationships in recent times, that would be keeping secrets from each other even as a married couple.
It even gets worst when one spouse hears it from the mouth of a stranger, however, this may lead them to act irrationally due to the shock.
How to gain trust back from your boyfriend is to be open or transparent in the things you do. This single act will help get things back to normal.
so if you are thinking of activities to rebuild trust in a relationship, I would like you and your partner to take part in this one.
5. Create A Vision Board

This is a great way to build trust and this should be done together.
What should this vision board contain? It should contain the things you both would want to have in your relationship.
In essence, it is all about the future you both want for your relationship.
This will help establish a new level of understanding and trust because in other for this to happen, you will both have to interact with each other and be open about the kind of future you both want.
This shouldn’t be difficult at all because all you will have to do is to go through some magazines and cut out words, images, and phrases of what you want the future of your relationship to look like.
My advice here will be for couples to find a common ground by agreeing on what they need less and what they will need more in their relationship.
Most importantly, this activity will give you both the chance to talk about where the relationship is headed and what goal you both have in mind.
6. Talk About Your Fears
It is ok to have fears and still talk about them to your partner.
This is called being open and the ability to let them know that this part of you exists also will make them help you overcome them all.
Perhaps, if your relationship has been lacking intimacy, this could be a good point to start.
Expressing your fears doesn’t make you less human, however, intimacy in a relationship can only be achieved when you and your partner are willing to be vulnerable and talk openly with one another without holding anything back from each other.
Creating a safe space could set the tempo right for the birthing of intimacy.
How to fix a relationship after trust is broken is to be open and admit that part of what is happening now, is your fault.
Some people are scared of owning so they hide instead, but one way to help with that is to show your vulnerability and build trust by discussing your fears and insecurities.
As I said, some are afraid of taking responsibility for owning up but what is more important than that is to sit down and talk about why you are afraid of it without shame.
This way, your partner will help you see things differently and you both can move forward in peace. Also, get your partner to feel comfortable during the process.
7. Schedule Weekly Date Nights

One of the most wonderful activities to rebuild trust in a relationship is to go out on dates.
This will boost the romance between you two and create a connection that might have been missing for a while now.
To sweeten things up, take turns planning date nights because part of having trust is giving up control.
Would you trust your partner if he or she said they had everything under control? Perhaps, the only way to know would be to try to start by allowing your partner to plan your next date night.
Allow your partner to take charge, by letting them choose where you will both eat to what you will do after that.
Try as much as you can not to meddle in their plans and allow them to surprise you.
One can only show how trustworthy they are if given the chance, so build trust by allowing your partner to handle your next outing.
8. Try A New Hobby Together
This is both fun and relaxing, however, it will create more room for you to bond with yourselves.
Try stepping outside your comfort zone in other to strengthen your bond and build trust.
Whatever activity you both choose, make sure there will be room to talk and ensure there is one more room for Mr Trust to tag along.
Whether it is skydiving or playing basketball with other couples, you can learn to work and grow together.
It will be amazing at the end of the day because intimacy and trust will be back in your relationship. By the way, try not to lose, please.
To ensure that you both enjoy yourselves, pick up a new hobby or sport that you will both enjoy.
And you could opt to pick activities that will challenge both of you to help each other through unfamiliar scenarios.
This will birth new memories that will bring a lasting smile to both of your faces when remembered.
9. Discuss The Breach Of Trust

This is often not easy to do but it is necessary if you both want things to get better. Some tough questions would be asked and this should be addressed with respect.
I believe that for every action, there’s an intention so be direct when you ask such questions and avoid beating around the bush.
You could ask your spouse who violated trust about the situation in question and allow them to express themselves clearly.
The goal of this is to get the motive behind their actions to light and remove every false thought in their mind.
As I earlier stated, this might be hard but try not to let your emotions get the better of you.
Approach things from a rational point and get to understand the reasons behind everything.
From my experience, there’s always a story to explain everything.
You could start by asking a simple question like, “can you tell me why you did that?” Try not to interrupt your partner while they are speaking.
And if you are the one who broke the trust, simply explain your motives and be direct and truthful about it.
10. Stick To Your Commitments
If you want to be trustworthy, it is not hard. All you will need to do is to stick to your commitment and that will require that you mean what you say and do what you say.
In other words, your words will mirror your actions. Once this is done, your partner will have no reason to doubt you.
Some days, you may fall short but because of your track record, that won’t cause any trouble.
There are a lot of activities to rebuild trust in a relationship and you will have to choose which you’d like to engage in with your spouse.
